Job Summary: To provide leadership, program development and implementation for Workforce Development programming throughout the year through the YWCA center-based program. This position will maintain a caseload of a minimum of 25 participants, focused on out-of-school youth and young adults ages 16-24. The Workforce Advisor will engage participants in life skill development to support basic needs (access to services), workforce development activities (workshops, skill development), and job searching in the local community.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
· Plan for development and implementation of program activities
· Prepare case notes
· Develop service plans for participants
· Manage all required documentation for program operation
· Develop workshops and training activities for participants
· Transport participants as needed for appointments, interviews, etc. related to the program activities
· Requisition and control of program supplies and materials
· Perform minor custodial duties when needed
· Participate in and contribute to agency, regional, and national trainings
· Periodically review operating procedures and make recommendation as necessary to ensure they are current
· Build relationships with youth, families, and stakeholders
· Act in accordance with YWCA mission, policies, and goals
· Represent agency in community activities in consonance with established policies
· Perform other duties as requested and agreed upon
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Oversee the activities and progress of participants on caseload
· Address complaints and resolve problems
· Keep CDO informed of problems, concerns, needs, trends, and unusual situations
· Bring any violation of regulatory issues, company policies, and program procedures immediately to
CDO
Compensation: $22.00 per hour
